The Port Authority of Bilbao and Uniport, the multimodal logistics cluster of the Port of Bilbao and related companies, will actively participate in two job fairs in the coming weeks. In both, they will have a stand available to associated companies.
This participation is part of their objective to foster talent attraction, support companies in their search, and generate opportunities for professionals of all ages.
The first is the IV Young Talent Job Fair, organized on October 29 by the Bilbao Chamber of Commerce at its headquarters, from 9:00 to 14:00 and from 15:00 to 17:30.
The second event is MerkaLan, the Job and Training Fair of the Basque Public Employment Service, an initiative promoted by Lanbide, which will be held on November 18. It seeks to promote quality employment and specialized training. The schedule is from 10:00 to 17:30 and it will be held at BEC – Bilbao Exhibition Centre.
The multimodal logistics sector accommodates a wide range of professionals covering each and every link in the sector's value chain; to which are added the professionals employed by the various industries established in the port area, which base all or a significant part of their competitiveness on their access to the waterfront and the logistics services that make it possible.

Among the initiatives carried out by both Uniport and the Port Authority to encourage employment in the logistics and port sector is, on the one hand, Uniport's Job Portal for associated companies that need to fill a job position. In addition to accessing the resumes of people seeking work in the sector, they can publish the positions they need to fill. In this way, they facilitate matching supply and demand.
For its part, the Port Authority has a bulletin board on its electronic headquarters, where current public employment offers can be consulted: Bilbao Electronic Headquarters – Bulletin Board
