Theodora Riga, President of MedCruise, said:"Ports give cruise itineraries their character, and for 30 years, MedCruise and Seatrade Cruise have worked together to give those ports a stronger voice. In Las Palmas, that partnership comes home to a MedCruise member port, with our members gathering in force to celebrate three decades of collaboration and help shape what comes next. Our ambition is clear: a cruise industry whose success is shared by the destinations and communities that welcome it."
Earlier this year, Mary Bond, Group Director at Seatrade Cruise, delved into the Seatrade Cruise archives to write a potted history from the Association's past three decades as reported by Seatrade journalists over the years.
Both Seatrade Cruise and MedCruise are also looking ahead. The next 30 years will bring new opportunities and challenges that will require even deeper partnership across the industry.
A special closing conversation '30 Years On...What Will Define the Next 30 Years of Med Cruising?' will take place on September 17 featuring, what it will take to keep the Mediterranean at the forefront of global cruising; the evolving expectations of travelers and destinations and how collaboration will unlock the next generation of growth. This session is sponsored by MedCruise.
