Holland America Line has opened bookings for its 2028 Canada and New England season, which will run from May through October aboard Volendam and Zuiderdam. The programme includes 7- to 14-day cruises and longer Collectors' Voyages, with departures from Montréal, Québec City, Boston, New York and Fort Lauderdale.
The season will mark Zuiderdam's debut in the region following its Evolution transformation, which introduced refreshed staterooms and public spaces, Solo Verandah staterooms, panoramic Bridgeview Suites and the Grand Dutch Café.
Holland America Line highlights its schedule of calls in Montréal, where it offers more visits than any other cruise line, according to the company. Selected itineraries include late-night calls in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, and Saint John, New Brunswick, as well as overnight stays in Québec City, allowing passengers more time ashore.
The programme combines historic cities and coastal communities with opportunities to explore Atlantic Canada's natural landscapes and maritime heritage. Depending on the itinerary, passengers can visit national parks and UNESCO World Heritage sites, while wildlife sightings may include beluga whales in Saguenay Fjord, whales in Atlantic Canadian waters and puffins along Newfoundland's coast.
On board, the cruise line will complement its itineraries with regional cuisine, local entertainment and destination-focused programming, including performances by regional musicians.
Highlights of the 2028 itineraries include:
