EPA Signs Collective Agreement with Workers' Union for 2026-2027

The Empresa Portuaria Arica ( EPA) announced the signing of a new Collective Agreement with the Workers' Union. The signed document will remain in effect during the 2026-2027 period.

In this regard, EPA reported that "this new agreement, which was approved by the majority of unionized workers, reflects the commitment of both parties to continue building labor relations based on collaboration, promoting conditions that contribute to the well-being of workers and the fulfillment of the strategic objectives of Empresa Portuaria Arica."

For his part, the General Manager of EPA, Jorge Cáceres, stated that "as Empresa Portuaria Arica, we reaffirm our commitment to our workers and to continue strengthening labor relations based on respect, good faith, collaboration, and joint work."

Meanwhile, Bárbara Ringler, President of the Empresa Portuaria Arica Union, noted that "the signing of this collective agreement is the result of a process of dialogue and joint work, in which the willingness to listen and reach agreements prevailed. As a union, we value this understanding, which represents an advancement for our workers and reaffirms the importance of continuing to build labor relations based on respect, collaboration, and commitment to the future of EPA."

Furthermore, the leader announced that during the last assembly of their organization, the Union's disaffiliation from the National Federation of Port Workers of Chile ( Fenatraporchi) was agreed upon.
