Assembly Advances Law to Order and Protect Ecuador's Marine-Coastal Space
The National Assembly processed the Organic Law Project for the Governance of the Marine-Coastal Space in its second debate, which seeks to create a comprehensive legal framework to regulate the sustainable use of the sea and strengthen the protection of Ecuador's marine ecosystems. The initiative organizes strategic activities such as fishing, tourism, scientific research, water sports, and port operations. After the debate, it returned to the Biodiversity Commission for eight days to incorporate adjustments and present a final text for voting.
