The Andean Community (CAN) highlighted advancements in economic integration during the commemoration of the 47th anniversary of the Andean Parliament, held in Barranquilla, Colombia. Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru seek to strengthen regional cooperation through initiatives that promote foreign trade, connectivity, and competitiveness.
Among the highlighted measures are INTERCOM, a platform for the secure digital exchange of foreign trade documents, and initiatives to improve regional connectivity. These tools aim to simplify trade procedures, reduce operational barriers, and facilitate the exchange of goods among member countries.
Document digitalization and trade facilitation can contribute to optimizing logistics operations related to regional exchange. For Ecuador, these advancements represent an opportunity to strengthen supply chains, improve the coordination of foreign trade processes, and enhance the efficiency of goods transport.
