The UK's National Crime Agency (NCA) reported the seizure of three tons of cocaine at London Gateway Port, valued at $315 million.
The agency specified that Border Force officers recovered the drugs that were hidden among a shipment of bananas from South America.
Dave Phillips, NCA Senior Investigating Officer, said, "This is a very significant seizure that has deprived the organized crime group behind it of huge profits. The NCA will continue to combat the threat of Class A drugs with domestic partners, such as Border Force, and also in source and transit countries."
The drugs were removed and the container was cleared for collection, which was subsequently delivered to a location near Buntingford, Hertfordshire.
Nine men were arrested and later released on bail.
