CIMC Wetrans Inaugurates Its First Owned Terminal in Laem Chabang, Thailand

The main container terminal at Laem Chabang Port, Thailand, an investment owned and also developed by CIMC Wetrans Thailand, a subsidiary of CIMC Group, has officially commenced operations.

Hu Pengfei, Chairman of CIMC Wetrans, and other senior executives presided over the inauguration ceremony and were also responsible for cutting the traditional inaugural ribbon.

For the company, the advancement is significant, as the construction represents CIMC Wetrans' first overseas container depot, built and managed on its own land.

The development represents a comprehensive modernization of its business in that Southeast Asian country, moving from leased operations to the development of owned assets, and drives the growth of the Southeast Asian logistics sector with proven fundamental strengths.
