Agunsa and the mining company Gold Fields formalized a new stage in their strategic alliance with the launch of an integrated logistics operator service, designed to strengthen the management and supply of Salares Norte.
The inauguration and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new service took place at Agunsa's Logistics Center in Lampa, Metropolitan Region.
In this regard, the Chilean multinational company communicated that "this collaboration reaffirms the commitment of both companies to safety, operational excellence, innovation, and the development of logistics solutions that contribute to greater efficiency, traceability, and operational continuity of operations."
"The new service reinforces a network of strategically located logistics centers, allowing Gold Fields' suppliers to deliver their cargo in both Santiago and Copiapó, complementing the operation that both companies already carried out in the Atacama Region," it added.
In this context, Moisés Aracena, Supply Manager for Minera Gold Fields in Chile, stated that "in this consolidation stage, having a logistics partner like Agunsa represents fundamental support to continue strengthening our processes. We seek to optimize cargo management, improve logistics coordination, and advance towards the standards demanded by a world-class mining operation."
"This alliance represents a significant advance for our operation. Agunsa has the experience, infrastructure, and capabilities necessary to support this new stage of development, strengthening our logistics chain and helping us successfully face the challenges ahead," he added.
For his part, Tomás Valenzuela, Commercial Manager for the Southern Cone at Agunsa, indicated that "a global company like Gold Fields choosing us to manage the cargo of its suppliers, both in Atacama and Santiago, fills us with pride. This project reflects the trust that our clients place in our capabilities and, especially, in our teams."

This launch demonstrated the experience of our operational teams and all the support areas that participated, along with the permanent support and coordination of the Gold Fields team," he added.
Meanwhile, Agunsa's Contract Administrator, Anett Flores, highlighted that "we have a first-class logistics service, backed by extensive experience in mining and a national network of capabilities. Currently, more than 20 mining sites operate with Agunsa, which allows us to provide specialized solutions adapted to the needs of each operation."
"We started working with Gold Fields in Copiapó and have built a very good working relationship. Today we take a new step with this operation in Santiago and hope to continue growing and improving together, accompanying their challenges and logistical needs," she complemented.
