A new logistics route connecting South Korea, Yantai and Central Asia has been launched, further expanding transport options for vehicles transiting through Shandong Port Group's (SPG) Yantai Port.
A batch of used vehicles in transit from South Korea was recently loaded onto vehicle transport carriers at Yantai Port, Shandong Port, before being transported via Urumqi Sanping Station to Altynkol, Kazakhstan.

The new service follows the launch of a South Korea-Yantai-Mongolia route in August, giving Yantai Port another option for moving vehicles from Northeast Asia to inland markets.
Yantai Port has been expanding its vehicle logistics network, with 26 domestic and international shipping routes connecting major vehicle terminals worldwide. From January to August, the port handled 576,000 vehicles across various transport modes, up 27.4 percent year on year.
To improve the efficiency of transit operations, the port has coordinated with customs, railway and other authorities to streamline procedures, from clearance and inspection to transfer and transport. A direct ship-to-rail model allows vehicles to move onto trains soon after unloading.
The latest route strengthens Yantai Port's role as a logistics hub linking Northeast Asia with the Eurasian continent and provides a new transport option for vehicles bound for Central Asia.
