The National Agency of Ports and Navigation (Anpyn), under the Ministry of Economy of Argentina, granted the authorization to Puerto Las Palmas, located on the right bank of the Paraguay River, at kilometer 25, in the town of Las Palmas.
The resolution establishes that the port facility located in the Chaco Province is for public use and commercial purposes, and recognizes that it has the necessary conditions for providing port services.
"We achieved the national authorization for Puerto Las Palmas. It is a fundamental step for development and for Chaco to be able to take advantage of all its productive and logistical potential," highlighted the provincial governor, Leandro Zdero.
The governor emphasized that the authorization allows progress in consolidating strategic infrastructure for the province. "We want a Chaco that continues to produce, that generates jobs, and that has better conditions to compete. The Port is a fundamental tool on that path," said the local authority.
The authorization of Puerto Las Palmas represents a fundamental step to strengthen Chaco's logistical infrastructure and boost its productive and commercial activity, taking advantage of its strategic location on the Paraguay River.
Although the authorization does not establish an expiration date, at this stage, technical documentation related to the installation and operation of the crane in Dolphin D10 and the loading and embarkation conveyor belt still needs to be completed.
In this regard, progress is being made with the installation of the Liebherr FCC230 crane. The manufacturer plans to deliver the flange calculation report, which is necessary documentation to continue with the assembly.
The provincial government also highlighted that this advancement is part of the efforts made by Zdero to consolidate Puerto Las Palmas as a strategic tool to improve competitiveness, facilitate cargo movement, and generate new opportunities for producers and companies in Chaco.
