The Peruvian Government strengthened port security at the Chimbote maritime terminal, an installation located in the Department of Ancash, in the north of the South American country.
In this regard, the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC), through the National Port Authority (APN), developed a basic port security course, aimed at workers of the Single Union of Maritime and Port Workers of the enclosure.
According to the APN, the training allowed for updating knowledge and strengthening skills to carry out their activities safely and responsibly in the port facilities.
"With this action, the APN promotes continuous training and a culture of prevention and safety in the port sector to achieve efficiency in its management for the benefit of the user public," the entity stated.
