Cosco Shipping Ports Chancay announced the appointment of César Ernesto Colunge Pinto as the new Deputy General Manager of Investor Relations and Communications (IR & Coms).
El Comercio reports that Colunge Pinto has a career spanning almost four decades of technical and executive experience, covering roles in senior management, strategic planning, complex project administration, and good corporate governance, in both the public and private sectors.
In the naval and strategic field, Colunge holds the rank of retired Vice Admiral in the Peruvian Navy. During his professional career, he has held high-impact leadership positions, including Chief of the General Staff of the Navy, Director General of Captaincies and Coastguards (National Maritime Authority), and President of the Board of Directors of the state-owned company SIMA Perú.
He also headed the General Directorate of Economy and led the Technical Secretariat of the Multisectoral Commission for State Action in the Maritime Sphere (COMAEM), responsible for formulating the National Maritime Policy.
Academically and in terms of specialization, he has a solid background in corporate and maritime sector management. He is a doctoral candidate in Strategic Management and Sustainability in the Maritime Sector at ENAMM, holds an MBA from Universidad del Pacífico, and a Master's in Maritime Strategy from the Naval War College.
In addition, he has participated in executive programs for corporate management and boards of directors at PAD of the University of Piura, IESE Business School (Barcelona), and IE Business School (Madrid).
