From January to July 2026, the Port of San Antonio has transferred a total of 13,682,985 tons of cargo through the activity of its concessionaires. This figure represents a 2.3% increase compared to the same period in 2025 and occurs despite the deceleration experienced in the last two months.
In line with figures released by the San Antonio Port Company (EPSA), in seven months of 2026, 1,159,153 TEUs have been mobilized, which corresponds to 1.4% more than in the same timeframe last year, when 1,142,898 TEUs were reached.
For its part, general cargo reached 10,676,331 tons, equivalent to a growth of almost 2% compared to the same period of the previous year. Within this segment, containerized cargo totaled 10,382,359 tons, maintaining a positive variation of 2%.
Meanwhile, solid bulk showed the best performance, with 2,542,647 tons transferred, being 11% more than in the same period of 2025. In contrast, break bulk cargo registered a decrease of 4%, reaching 293,972 tons.
Between January and July, 148,660 vehicles were also unloaded, 5% less than in the same period of 2025, while liquid bulk registered a drop of 21%, totaling 464,006 tons transferred.
"The accumulated results to July show that Port San Antonio maintains slightly higher transfer levels than last year, although with variations between different months and cargo segments, which is important to observe. The challenge remains to safeguard the operational continuity and competitiveness of the port in a dynamic context for foreign trade and logistics," said Fernando Gajardo, general manager of Port San Antonio.
