The Mar del Plata Regional Port Consortium is advancing with its comprehensive plan to improve the road network within its jurisdiction. Therefore, starting this Tuesday, June 30, and for an estimated period of two weeks, traffic restrictions and parking prohibitions will be implemented on Avenida de los Pescadores, specifically in the section between the entrances to Terminals 2 and 3 and Avenida Dorrego.
These limitations are due to the execution of paving and road repair tasks in that sector. Therefore, those who regularly travel through the area are asked to respect preventive signage and use alternative routes when possible.
Marcos Gutiérrez, president of the Mar del Plata Regional Port Consortium, explained that these works are part of the improvement plan that the Consortium is carrying out to optimize road infrastructure.
"This intervention, in this stage, includes more than 3,000 square meters of paving and concrete patching on streets and avenues within the jurisdiction. It is a public work that we know is a priority for the operation of our port and will have new stages throughout the year," explained Gutiérrez.
The objective of these works is to improve traffic conditions, enhance road safety, and support the growth of port activity with infrastructure that meets the operational needs and those of people who travel daily through the port area.
