Nicaragua's commercial ports handled 15 international vessels between September 21 and 27, mobilizing 89,341 metric tons of cargo related to foreign trade. Puerto Corinto concentrated the most activity, with 10 vessels and 73,526 tons mobilized.
In Puerto Sandino, four vessels arrived with raw materials and supplies from different markets. Imported cargo included 3,285 metric tons of clinker from Ecuador, as well as ferrous material and steel coils from China, and liquefied gas from the Dominican Republic.
Puerto Corinto mobilized containers, fuels, vehicles, and bulk cargo, in addition to exports of coffee, sugar, beef, cocoa, peanuts, and palm oil. Operations reflect the movement of goods between Nicaragua and markets in America, Europe, and Asia.
