With the participation of all individuals present at the terminal, San Antonio Terminal Internacional (STI) carried out an evacuation drill for earthquake emergencies and a subsequent tsunami alert.
"The exercise involved the orderly and safe movement of employees, contractors, and users towards the safety zones and evacuation exits properly marked within the port facilities," communicated the concessionaire of the Port of San Antonio.
The activity took place entirely within the premises, and after the corresponding evaluations were concluded, the terminal resumed its usual operations.
"These types of exercises are fundamental because they allow us to evaluate our response times on the ground, coordinate our teams, and refine protocols in the event of a real emergency. Maintaining a solid preventive culture is a task we build every day among all of us who work at STI, maintaining high safety standards aimed at protecting the lives of those who carry out their work at the port," commented STI General Manager, Andrés Albertini.
The initiative is part of STI's comprehensive risk prevention and emergency preparedness plan, whose objective is to continuously strengthen the operational and safeguarding capabilities of the entire port community in the face of natural contingencies.
