San Antonio Terminal Internacional (STI), a port of Hanseatic Global Terminals Latin America and SSA Marine, has opened the call for the third edition of its "STI Comunidades en Acción" (STI Communities in Action) Contestable Fund.
The initiative seeks to support projects that generate value for the communities of the commune and strengthen education, training, and development opportunities.
"Strengthening communities also means opening spaces for their own ideas to grow and generate new opportunities. From STI, we want to continue contributing to this process, supporting initiatives that have a positive impact and contribute to the development of San Antonio," said Francisca Mezzano, Head of Communications and Sustainability at STI.
The fund will finance infrastructure projects, equipment, and workshops or training activities, aimed at strengthening knowledge, skills, and competencies in people of all ages, as well as initiatives that highlight the identity of San Antonio, its heritage, culture, and trades.
Each organization may submit one project and request up to $2 million. Neighborhood associations, senior citizen and sports clubs, cultural organizations, foundations, corporations, and other community groups, as well as formally constituted entrepreneurial organizations as legal entities, may apply.
Applications will be open between August 17 and September 22. Interested organizations must download the rules and application form from www.stiport.com, complete the required information, and send the documentation to comunicaciones@stiport.com.
