Armed Forces and Police Execute Massive Intervention in Puerto Bolívar, Machala
Over a thousand military personnel and police officers launched a large-scale operation in Puerto Bolívar, Machala, lasting four days with interventions by land, air, and sea. The operation includes raids on over a thousand homes allegedly used by criminal organizations linked to drug trafficking. The government announced two phases: recovering territorial control and returning properties to legitimate owners, in addition to implementing permanent vessel controls and maritime censuses.
