DP World launched the "La Guaira Shuttle" maritime service, connecting the port of Manzanillo, in Panama, with La Guaira, in Venezuela, and includes a call in Cartagena, Colombia, during the return journey.
The route began operations on September 17 with the container ship VM Vita, with a capacity of 749 TEU, and plans to incorporate the vessel Star Comet, of 735 TEU. With both vessels, the service will offer a weekly frequency and a two-week itinerary.
This connection constitutes DP World's second service with Venezuela and complements the ABC route, which links ports in Panama, Aruba, Curaçao, Venezuela, and Colombia. The expansion of these operations strengthens regional maritime connections and alternatives for containerized cargo transport in the Caribbean.
