Paris, 21 October 2026 – GTT Marine, a business unit of the GTT Group and a leading provider of advanced technologies and digital solutions for vessel performance, today announced the opening of its office in Tokyo. This new facility aims to strengthen ties with customers across the region, enabling Japanese ship-owners and operators to benefit from dedicated expert support, performance intelligence and reliable vessel data.
As one of the world's foremost shipbuilding and ship-owning nations, Japan is a strategic market for GTT Marine. The company already works with a number of Japanese ship-owners and operators, building on long-standing relationships.
From Tokyo, the team will support customers across the lifecycle, from installation and service of onboard systems such as Voyage Data Recorders (VDRs) and Shaft Power Meters to the performance analytics that turn vessel data into measurable fuel savings, lower emissions and compliance with confidence.
The team will consist of sales, customer success and technical professionals who will support customers and partners as they improve performance and prepare for what comes next. The office is located at Yanmar Building, Tokyo.
Casper Jensen, Chief Executive Officer of GTT Marine, commented: "In Japan, customer proximity and a deep understanding of the local market are essential. Our presence in Tokyo reflects our commitment to combining on-the-ground expertise with technological innovation to provide ship-owners and operators with practical solutions built on reliable, actionable data. This is fully aligned with our ambition to become the maritime operating system of choice, supporting fleets as they navigate growing demands for performance and decarbonisation."
Gary Garner, Sales Director of GTT Marine in Japan, commented: "I am delighted to lead our new Japan office. What matters to Japanese operators is what matters everywhere: data you can trust and performance you can prove. The office in Tokyo allows us to work side by side with owners, operators and technical managers, turn fleet data into clear decisions, and keep improving results over the long term. Collaborating in our customers' own time zone and language will be key."
