Shipping company Hapag-Lloyd announced that its vessel Amalthea (2636S) has experienced problems with its main engine, which is why it is currently undergoing repairs. As a result of this situation, the vessel will delay its call at the Port of Lisbon (Portugal).
In this regard, the company reported that "the vessel's call in Lisbon has been delayed. At this moment, the latest estimated arrival date in Lisbon is September 18."
Furthermore, it was detailed that "this date is subject to confirmation, depending on the progress of the ongoing repairs. Our operational teams are closely monitoring the situation, and the schedule will be updated as soon as we have confirmed information," added Hapag-Lloyd.
The Amalthea is 268.8 meters long and 32.2 meters wide. According to vessel tracking websites, the ship remains in the waters of the Bay of Biscay awaiting to resume its itinerary towards the Port of Brest (France).
