At Maersk, we remain committed to delivering transparent and efficient services to support your business. In line with this commitment, we would like to inform you about the implementation of the Transport Document Amendment Fee for shipments originating from Indonesia and Timor Leste, effective October 23rd, 2026.
For shipments originating from Indonesia and Timor Leste, the Transport Document Amendment Fee will apply to eligible amendment requests submitted from one calendar day after the containers have been loaded on board the vessel, referred to as the Laden on Board + 1 day rule. The applicable fee, tariff, and currency will be determined based on the shipment's cargo origin country.
For example:
This means that eligible Bill of Lading amendment requests submitted on or after October 24th, 2026, will be subject to the Transport Document Amendment Fee. The applicable timeline is calculated based on calendar days rather than business days.
As part of the global implementation, customers submitting eligible amendment requests through Maersk.com will be able to view the applicable Transport Document Amendment Fee information during the amendment process. Where the fee applies, customers will be asked to select the payer and payment terms and accept the applicable terms and conditions before submitting the request.

We encourage you to carefully review your Verify Copy and submit any required amendments as early as possible, preferably before the applicable Laden on Board + 1 day milestone, to help avoid additional amendment fees and potential documentation delays.
