Following our previous customer advisory on the East Asia typhoon season, we would like to share the latest update on network recovery efforts across East Asia.
Recovery efforts across East Asia continue to make progress, although strong export demand from Asia is putting pressure on congested ports. Operational conditions at East China ports have improved. Vessel waiting times have continued to decline compared with previous weeks.
While the direct impact of recent typhoon activity has largely subsided, recovery across the wider regional network remains ongoing. Conditions across the port network continue to influence overall cargo flows and schedule recovery.
We continue to work closely with ports, terminals and operational partners across the region to support network recovery and maintain cargo flows. This includes managing cargo movements across the network, implementing operational adjustments where required, and coordinating with partners to make the best use of available capacity and resources.
As recovery progresses, the network is becoming increasingly stable, although customers may continue to experience intermittent delays in certain trade lanes as conditions across the wider regional network continue to normalize.
Our teams remain focused on helping customers navigate these impacts. We are proactively engaging with customers whose shipments may be impacted to discuss available options, mitigation measures and the most suitable way forward for their cargo. Customers with time-sensitive or affected shipments are also encouraged to speak with their Maersk representative to review available solutions and contingency plans where relevant.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and share further updates as more information becomes available.
We appreciate your understanding and continued partnership.
