SSA Marine, an independent and privately-owned maritime terminal operator, announced that Charles Baker has assumed the role of General Manager for the company's operations in Manzanillo-Cuyutlán, Mexico.
"On behalf of Nicolas Gauthier, President of SSA Marine's Global Container Division, we are extremely pleased to welcome Charles Baker to SSA Marine as our General Manager for Manzanillo-Cuyutlán in Mexico. Charles is a highly experienced global maritime and logistics industry executive, with over 35 years of international leadership experience driving growth in premier port terminals, shipping lines, and intermodal networks," the company stated.
"Most recently, Charles served as Director of Intermodal Transport for the Europe-Mediterranean region at PSA International, where he led the company's comprehensive land logistics and connectivity strategy across Europe and the Mediterranean. Welcome to the SSA team, Charles; we are very excited to have you on board," it added.
For his part, Baker stated that "after 14 interesting and rewarding years at PSA International, the time has come to take on a new challenge, so I bid a fond farewell to excellent colleagues, from Singapore to Gdansk and Buenos Aires (to name just a few), and wish them the greatest success in their future endeavors. Thank you to everyone at PSA for these years of great collaboration and good friendship."
