HISTORIC ARRIVAL AT THE PORT OF LÁZARO CÁRDENAS: GLOVIS LEADER, THE WORLD'S LARGEST CAR CARRIER OF ITS TYPE, DOCKS
The Port of Lázaro Cárdenas welcomed the arrival of the GLOVIS LEADER, the world's largest car carrier in its category, operated by Hyundai Glovis Co., Ltd. The vessel carried out operations at the Specialized Automobile Terminal (TEA II), handling the import of BYD and Ford vehicles, as well as the export of KIA, NISSAN, and GM units. With a capacity of 10,800 CEU and Dual-Fuel propulsion using liquefied natural gas, the vessel consolidates the Michoacán port as the deepest in Mexico.
