The Panama Canal commemorated 112 years with 10,623 deep-draft vessel transits between October 2025 and July 2026. This figure represents a growth of 6.12% compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year, with Panamax and Neopanamax operations.
Concurrently, the interoceanic waterway is promoting projects to expand its logistical capacity and develop new activities, such as the Río Indio Lake, the Corozal and Telfers terminals, and the Energy Corridor between both oceans.
The Canal also maintains measures for water resource management in response to conditions associated with the El Niño phenomenon. These actions are part of the planning to preserve the operation of this strategic route for international trade and maritime transport.
