Hapag-Lloyd modifies MSW service due to low water levels in Panama Canal

The shipping company Hapag-Lloyd announced that it will replace the vessels in its MSW service. The decision is due to the low water levels in the Panama Canal and seeks to mitigate possible impacts on the service's itineraries.

According to the company, "as part of this plan, four vessels in the MSW service – Izmit Express, Mersin Express, Gemlik Express, and Cape Corfu – will be gradually replaced by other vessels to maintain weekly service frequency."

"These temporary vessel changes could affect individual cargo schedules," the publication added.

Finally, the company informed its users that "should your cargo be affected, you will receive timely information from our Customer Service teams."
