AMP REAFFIRMS ITS COMMITMENT TO THE PROTECTION AND WELL-BEING OF SEAFARERS

The Panama Maritime Authority (AMP) reaffirms its commitment to the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC, 2006) and the protection of seafarers' rights, in coordination with the ILO and the IMO. The institution has a formally scheduled meeting with the National College of Seafarers (CONAGEMAR) and is in the final phase of creating the Seafarers' Welfare Committee to promote the well-being of seafarers in Panamanian ports and jurisdictional waters.
