The Chancay Multipurpose Port Terminal, operated by Cosco Shipping Ports Chancay Perú, obtained its first star from the Peru Carbon Footprint program, a recognition granted by the Ministry of Environment.
In this context, the National Port Authority (APN), an entity attached to the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC), highlighted the achievement as part of the progress towards a more efficient and sustainable port operation.
The APN emphasized that the terminal incorporates electrical and automated technology and infrastructure aimed at optimizing its operations and managing its environmental impact.
"This achievement reflects the importance of integrating sustainability and innovation from the development of port infrastructure, as part of a continuous improvement process," the entity stated.
"From the APN, we continue to promote a modern, competitive, and sustainable National Port System that incorporates new technologies and good environmental practices," affirmed the port authority.
