MTC approves 26 services to be executed via Works for Taxes in anticipation of El Niño

The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) approved the list of services that can be executed under the exceptional Works for Taxes (OxI) regime to address prevention, preparation, response, and rehabilitation actions against the 2026-2027 El Niño phenomenon.

The measure was formalized through Ministerial Resolution 485-2026-MTC/01 published in the Official Gazette El Peruano.

The list comprises 26 services identified by the competent bodies of the MTC, which were proposed in the context of prevention, preparation, and response actions to the 2026-2027 El Niño phenomenon and do not correspond to investments subject to the National System of Multiannual Programming and Investment Management.

The resolution stipulates that the norm be sent to the Private Investment Promotion Agency (ProInversión) for the corresponding purposes within the framework of monitoring and disseminating the Works for Taxes mechanism.

The measure is based on Urgency Decree 010-2026, which established extraordinary and temporary provisions to facilitate the execution of services and investments for optimization, marginal expansion, rehabilitation, and emergency replacement through Works for Taxes in anticipation of the El Niño phenomenon.
