The President of the Council of Ministers of Peru, Luis Galarreta, stated that the entry into force of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with Hong Kong will be promoted this year and reaffirmed that trade openness will continue to be a state policy.
"This year, the entry into force of the FTA with Hong Kong will be promoted, and progress will be made on new trade agreements. Trade openness will continue to be a state policy," Galarreta said during his speech to the full session of the Chamber of Deputies, where he presented the General Government Policy.
The President of the Council emphasized that the long-term goal is for Peru to consolidate its position as a platform for trade, investment, and services between South America and Asia-Pacific, maintaining our participation in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) Forum and other economic blocs.
In this way, the authority highlighted that the regional exportable supply will be promoted in order to reach new markets with commercial potential for our products.
