With the aim of boosting competitiveness, strengthening connectivity, and promoting the development of strategic infrastructure in the country, the Minister of Transport and Communications, Rafael Rey Rey, held a working meeting with representatives of the Lima Chamber of Commerce (CCL).
During the meeting, the head of the MTC discussed with Sandro Stapleton Ponce, Carlos Ugaz Montero, and Carlos Posada Ugaz, representatives of the Lima Chamber of Commerce, various topics of interest for the development of transport infrastructure and the improvement of the country's competitiveness.
Among the main points addressed were the budget for 2027 and the sector's project portfolio, as well as aspects related to arbitration awards and payment obligations linked to the execution of investments. Likewise, topics related to the development of metro lines and railway projects were reviewed, in addition to the infrastructure linked to the new Jorge Chávez International Airport in Callao, and the progress of the Santa Rosa Viaduct, a project that will improve connectivity and access to the air terminal.
During the meeting, Minister Rafael Rey highlighted the importance of maintaining coordination spaces between the State and the private sector to identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to the development of infrastructure projects that favor Peru's competitiveness and connectivity.
Also participating on behalf of the MTC were the Vice Minister of Transport, Gabriela Carrasco Carrasco; representatives from the General Directorate of Transport Programs and Projects, the General Directorate of Civil Aeronautics, the General Directorate of Multimodal Transport Policies and Regulation, as well as the National Port Authority.
