Peru's Minister of Transport and Communications, Rafael Rey, held a meeting with representatives from various state institutions and business organizations to promote the development of strategic infrastructure.
It has been reported that the main topics discussed at the meeting included "the budget for 2027 and the sector's project portfolio, as well as aspects related to arbitration awards and payment obligations linked to investment execution. Additionally, issues related to the development of metro lines and railway projects were reviewed, along with the infrastructure linked to the new Jorge Chávez International Airport in Callao, and the progress of the Santa Rosa Viaduct, a project that will improve connectivity and access to the air terminal."
During the meeting, Minister Rey highlighted the importance of maintaining coordination spaces between the public and private sectors to enhance the country's competitiveness.
Representatives from the General Directorate of Transport Programs and Projects, the General Directorate of Civil Aeronautics, the General Directorate of Multimodal Transport Policies and Regulation, the National Port Authority, and the Lima Chamber of Commerce attended the meeting.
