Cargo and Passenger Transport Guilds Would Call for Indefinite Strike if Government Does Not Approve Fuel Price Hike Subsidies
Various land cargo and passenger transport guilds warned that they would observe an indefinite national strike starting June 2 if the Executive does not approve urgent measures to address the increase in fuel prices. Through a letter addressed to President José María Balcázar, they requested the immediate approval of emergency decrees establishing subsidies, recalling that these measures had already been agreed upon in a meeting held on April 14.
