Port Houston Hosts U.S. Energy Secretary at Houston Ship Channel
On June 12, Port Houston welcomed U.S. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright to the Houston Ship Channel for a roundtable discussion with energy leaders focused on exports dominance. The 52-mile federal channel, the nation's busiest waterway, supports 3.4 million American jobs and serves as the energy capital. Port Houston CEO Charlie Jenkins highlighted the region's 500 million barrels of oil and liquid bulk storage, supporting nearly $1 trillion in annual economic benefit for the nation.
