Sixth Clandestine Connection Detected in Sechura's Norperuano Oil Pipeline
Petroperú identified a new clandestine connection at kilometer 825+620 of the Norperuano Oil Pipeline in Sechura, Piura, which perforated the pipeline and caused an oil leak. This is the sixth incident detected between June and August in this section of the ONP. The company activated its emergency plan to control the leak, repair the infrastructure, and carry out remediation work, in addition to filing a complaint with the competent authorities.
