K Shipbuilding, Sejin, and ClassNK to Develop 9,000 m³ Methanol Carrier

K Shipbuilding, Sejin Heavy Industries, and ClassNK have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly develop a 9,000 m³ methanol carrier that complies with the IGC Code amendment, scheduled to enter into force on July 1, 2028. The vessel will incorporate energy-saving devices, a rudder bulb, and an energy-saving fin to improve propulsion efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
