The Changjiang Qi Hao, a 17,000 gross ton luxury river cruise ship with capacity for 638 passengers, was launched on July 6, 2026, at China Merchants Industry's Haimen shipyard. Built for Chongqing Changjiang Shipping and designed by the Wuhan Changjiang Ship Design Institute, the vessel is China's first luxury river cruise ship powered by methanol as a single fuel source. The ship will operate on the Chongqing–Yichang–downstream corridor, competing with Century Cruises and Victoria Cruises.
