Drone Strikes Crude Oil Tanker Near CPC Terminal; Crew Safe
The Marshall-Island-flagged crude oil tanker Yasa Polaris was struck by a drone off Russia's Black Sea coast on 7 July near the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) loading facilities close to Novorossiysk. All crew members were reported safe and the vessel sustained no visible hull damage. The 2022-built tanker, measuring 274 meters in length with a capacity of approximately 160,000 metric tonnes, was drifting with no cargo onboard at the time of the attack.
