Metalkol Approves Customized CSD500 Dredger at Damen Shipyard
Representatives from Metalkol completed the technical inspection of their Cutter Suction Dredger (CSD) 500 at Damen Dredging Shipyard in the Netherlands, receiving approval for its delivery. The customized vessel, with an extended dredging depth capacity of -16 meters, will be transported to the Democratic Republic of Congo for mining operations. According to Frederick Vandepitte, Damen Regional Director, the customization was completed in a few weeks through the inventory development program.
