Port of Chancay Ranks Among World's Most Efficient Terminals in First Operational Year
The Peruvian megaport of Chancay entered the Container Port Performance Index (CPPI) 2025 by the World Bank and S&P Global, reaching 73rd place globally with a score of 40.6, higher than the Latin America and Caribbean average. The terminal, operated by Cosco Shipping Ports, ranked ninth regionally, although it closed 2025 with a loss of USD 10,789,000 and revenues of USD 57,087,000, moving 336.2 thousand TEU.
