Ambassador Cruise Line has announced a series of developments within its trade team as it continues to strengthen support for valued agent partners across the UK.
The company has re-appointed Lynsey Jones as a new strategic account manager, which is a newly created role. Jones will return to the Trade Team from August 24, 2026, following a four-month interim position before the birth of her child last year.
Jones brings 19 years of experience in the travel industry and boasts a successful career at TUI, Neilson and Skiworld, the company said in a press release.
Ambassador's Deputy Head of Trade (Interim), Karen Cameron, said: "Jones' considerable knowledge of the travel sector, coupled with her industry experience, makes her a perfect fit for the Trade Team, and we're so pleased to welcome her back."
On August 24, the company will promote Debbie Ballantyne from business development executive to business development manager, North. With 20 years of experience, Ballantyne joined Ambassador in 2024 from Barrhead Travel, where she was a branch manager.
Her previous sales positions were at companies including Iglu Cruise and Cruise.co.uk.
Nicola Harper, head of distribution, said: "Having displayed significant growth during her time with Ambassador, Ballantyne has been recognized as an individual more than capable of taking on increased commercial responsibility within our Northern Division. We're so excited to watch Debbie continue to grow in a new position of account leadership."
Ambassador added that, in response to increased activity out of London Tilbury Port, it has created an all-new Business Development Executive position within its southern division.
Open for applications from July 29, this new role will allow for increased agent visits across southern regions, as Ambassador looks to expand its presence throughout the south.
According to the press release, the successful candidate will be charged with developing existing commercial relationships in the South of England to maximize sales opportunities and drive day-to-day trading while instigating new agent and trade partnerships.
The role will be advertised across TIRO and the Ambassador Cruise Line Facebook and LinkedIn pages from July 29.
The company noted that interested parties can email recruitment@ambassadorcruise.com with any questions.
