Royal Caribbean's Symphony of the Seas is now offering cruises to the Bahamas from its homeport in Galveston.
The Oasis-class ship added itineraries to the country to its schedule in July, after completing a series of seven-night cruises to the Western Caribbean.
Sailing from Galveston on a year-round basis, the vessel is now offering alternating six- and eight-night itineraries to a wider range of ports of call.
The Bahamas cruises are highlighted by visits to the company's private island destination of Perfect Day at CocoCay.
Some of the itineraries also feature a visit to Nassau, where Royal Caribbean recently opened a private beach club near the cruise port.
The Symphony visits the Bahamas during eight-night itineraries that also sail to destinations in the Western Caribbean, such as Cozumel and Costa Maya in Mexico.
In addition to the longer cruises, the 5,580-passenger ship is also offering six-night voyages to the Western Caribbean.
The cruises in the region feature visits to the same ports in Mexico, as well as visits to Coxen Hole, in Honduras's Roatán Island.
The vessel will continue to offer the alternating schedule through late October 2026, when it resumes the series of seven-night cruises to the Western Caribbean.
In related news, Royal Caribbean recently announced plans to redeploy the Symphony of the Seas, moving the ship to Florida.
Instead of continuing its year-round service from Galveston as initially intended, the 227,625-passenger vessel is now scheduled to reposition to Fort Lauderdale in early August 2027.
The move coincides with the arrival of the larger Icon of the Seas in Texas, which is scheduled to kick off year-round service from Galveston in mid-August 2027.
In addition to the Symphony of the Seas, Royal Caribbean is currently operating the Mariner of the Seas from the homeport.
The Liberty of the Seas is also scheduled to join the company's lineup in Texas ahead of the 2026-27 winter season.
