Compañía de Puertos Asociados S.A. (Compas) announced that Alberto Acuña Pinedo has assumed the presidency of the company, following the conclusion of Rodrigo Torras's tenure, who led Compas since 2024.
The entity highlighted that Torras, "during this period, contributed to the strengthening of the strategy, commercial growth, and consolidation of the organization. Compas thanks him for his leadership, commitment, and dedication, and wishes him much success in his future projects."
Regarding the new executive, Compas noted that "Alberto has extensive experience in the port sector and a deep knowledge of the company. At Compas, he served as port manager in Cartagena and, more recently, as commercial vice president, leading the strengthening of the commercial strategy and the development of long-term relationships with clients and strategic allies."
"The board of directors is confident that, together with the executive committee and all Compas collaborators, the company's growth strategy will continue to be driven, strengthening operational excellence, the development of our teams, and the generation of value for clients, shareholders, and other stakeholders," the company remarked.
"This transition reflects Compas's commitment to the continuity of its strategy, institutional strengthening, and a disciplined execution that will continue," they affirmed.
