GTT received an order from the Samsung Heavy Industries shipyard for the design of the tanks for three new LNG carriers, on behalf of an American shipowner.
The company will design the cryogenic tanks for the vessels, each with a total capacity of 174,000 cubic meters, which will be equipped with the Mark III Flex membrane containment system, a technology developed by GTT.
Delivery of the vessels is scheduled for the first and second quarters of 2029.
The order to GTT adds to two others also received in June. One from the same SHI for the design of the tanks for two new 174,000 m3 LNG carriers, on behalf of a Greek shipowner, and another from the Hanwha Ocean shipyard for the design for one LNG carrier (LNGC) for a European shipowner.
