One crew member has been reported missing following an explosion and subsequent fire aboard the LNG dual-fuelled container ship Yi Hang Ming Yuan. Rescue operations are still ongoing.

The incident occurred at around 5:30 a.m. on 22 July at Yangluo Port in Hubei Province, China. The vessel was reportedly manoeuvring towards berth A101 when a loud blast was heard in the aft compartment. Around seven containers fell overboard, and a fire broke out.
The terminal's control centre immediately suspended all operations, and all personnel from both the terminal and the ship's crew were evacuated to a safe area. Firefighting services arrived on the scene at around 5:39 a.m. Rescue operations remain underway, with one crew member still unaccounted for.
Preliminary information indicates that the containers that fell overboard were empty. There have been no reports on the cause of the explosion.
Yi Hang Ming Yuan is sailing under the flag of China that measures 120-meters in length and 19 meters in width.
