Brasília, 10/14/2026 - The National Waterway Transportation Agency (ANTAQ) published, this Tuesday (13), the tender for Auction No. 04/2026, referring to the lease of the IQI16 area, located in the Port of Itaqui, in São Luís (MA). Intended for the handling and storage of solid mineral bulk, the terminal is part of the logistical infrastructure of the Maranhão port.
The auction is scheduled for December 9, 2026, at 2 PM, at B3, in São Paulo (SP). The area has 21,829.92 square meters and a static storage capacity of 70,000 tons. The estimated annual dynamic capacity is 1.008 million tons.
The Port of Itaqui is an important logistical corridor for cargo transport in Maranhão and other states, especially in the North and Northeast regions. The IQI16 area is relevant for the handling and storage of inputs such as fertilizers, used in agricultural production. The exploration of the terminal contributes to the structuring of port capacity and to the integration between waterway transport and supply chains.
