Portos do Paraná gathered representatives from the port community to discuss the impacts of the Tax Reform on the sector's operations. The meeting, held on the 14th, was attended by approximately 100 participants, including entrepreneurs, directors, representatives of tenant companies, operators, and service providers.
The impacts of the reform on the relationship between the port authority and companies were presented by Luiz Carlos Benner, an accountant and tax consultant, and Faimon Coutinho, a tax consultant. Both are partners at Taticca Allinial Global, a company that has provided technical accounting and tax consulting to Portos do Paraná since 2022.
The specialists addressed the changes planned for 2027 and their practical effects on the port community. Pricing, contract review, appropriation of tax credits, financial flow, and the internal processes of companies operating in the ports of Paranaguá and Antonina were also among the topics discussed.
"This meeting is very important to link this gear of taxes that will come together on January 1, 2027. Therefore, it is important to mitigate all risks. We have many contracts underway here, and with the reform, revisions may be necessary that will impact company costs," explains Marcos Alfredo Bonoski, Administrative and Financial Director of Portos do Paraná.
Among the participants was Denise Barbosa Vinholi, accountant at Tucumann Engenharia e Empreendimentos, a service provider to Portos do Paraná. She praised the initiative to bring together different members of the port community to discuss the topic and promote dialogue with specialized professionals.
"The transition is starting now; we need to adapt systems, adapt contracts, we have to start organizing credits, so it is important, from now on, to be aligning this. And knowing that Portos do Paraná is with us at this moment is quite important," points out Denise.
Continuous Work
Portos do Paraná has been working since 2025 to adapt its processes to the Tax Reform. Initiatives include the creation of a Multilateral Working Group and the implementation of fiscal document issuance.
The company also promotes continuous training for its employees, reviews processes, and evaluates the operational and financial impacts of the changes. The work also includes acting with the Agência Nacional de Transportes Aquaviários (ANTAQ) and the Associação Brasileira das Entidades Portuárias e Hidroviárias (ABEPH).
"The meetings are essential for everyone to truly know how to adapt to this new reality. For companies, these dialogues are very important, even so that they can understand what the Port will do, where the Port fits in, and how it can contribute to this planning, since almost everyone depends on Portos do Paraná," clarifies Bonoski.
