Kai Jai – Port Day returns on Sunday, October 18, to celebrate its eleventh edition. And this year it does so with an important novelty: it moves, for the first time, to the Santurtzi fishing port. A new location, but the same essence as always. A day full of games, workshops, and exhibitions for all ages that will ensure the fun of those who attend, while also bringing them closer to understanding the activity carried out by the main port of the Atlantic Arc, and its role in the economy of Euskadi.
This edition maintains the dynamic of previous ones, with free admission and activities, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., all with the help of Kai and Jai, the pirate captains who will guide attendees during this day.
Organized by the Bilbao Port and Estuary Foundation, Kai Jai – Port Day is a recreational and cultural festival, and an opportunity to learn about the daily life of the port environment through different activities.

Among the activities of this edition, several guided tours of the Port of Bilbao are scheduled to learn first-hand about the spaces and the work carried out in the port facilities. The visits will begin at 11:00 a.m., on a bus that will depart from the venue itself. Capacity for this activity is limited and it will be necessary to obtain a ticket on the same day.
There will also be a space again to recognize the work of different agents working in the port, such as the Red Cross and the Higher Technical School of Nautical and Naval Machinery, and representatives of the National Police, Ertzaintza, and Civil Guard will explain their daily routines. A truck exhibition is also scheduled.
The rest of the program offers options for all ages with different games, all kinds of inflatables, gymkhanas, workshops... Among these activities, one of the highlights will be the 'Clown and Science Theater' (11:30 a.m.), with the presence of two clowns who arrive at the Port of Bilbao and, through games and antics, discover the science hidden in ships, cranes, and containers. The party will end with a Disco Party (from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.) with children's pirate and adventure songs and dances in the port animated by a DJ, lights, and effects.
During the day, prizes will also be awarded to the winning schoolchildren of the Ezagutu Portua Program's Story and Logo Contest.
